Blaine Kite Day – June 22, 2019 – Blaine Marina Park
Saturday, June 22nd will be a day to enjoy colors in the sky with experienced kite fliers, friends and neighbors. This day of kiting is presented by the Blaine Chamber of Commerce and the Washington Kitefliers Association (WKA). The event will take place from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Blaine’s Marina Park. Members from kiting clubs around the Pacific Northwest and B.C. will be present to show off their skills, flying artwork and to help young fliers get their kites flying high and true. Our club fliers will also provide opportunities for some ‘hands on time’ with their own creations. A ‘Kites for Kids’ booth and volunteer kite makers will be available to provide small kites for younger visitors (recommended age: 7 and younger). For older kids and adults to participate, our kite fliers recommend that you consider purchasing a moderately sized, single line kite to use at the event.
