Summer Day Camp at Rising Moon Meadows in Bellingham, WA

Sign your children up for a fun and exciting week at Rising Moon Meadows Summer Day Camp led by Darci Peterson from our Learning Center!

This camp offers kids a chance to have fun, make new friends, try new activities, move their bodies and connect to nature while in a safe and caring place that honors each child's needs.

We are offering two weeks this summer of fun filled days for children ages 5-14.

Week 1 option:

June 24th - 28th (Monday through Friday)

Week 2 option:

July 29th - Aug 2nd (Monday through Friday)

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

Drop off between 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.

Pick up between 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

Children will be split up into two groups:
Ages 5 -9
Ages 10 -14

Activities to include:

Outdoor nature education
Yard and field games
Arts and craft projects (fairy houses, air dry clay pots, friendship bracelets, etc.)
Camp songs and stories
Water day - sprinkler, water balloons
Bikes (we have an assortment of bikes but you are welcome to bring your own)
Quiet activity options (Legos, puzzles)
Games and group challenges
Land Art
Mindfulness

What to Bring

Please bring weather appropriate shoes and clothes. We plan to go outside each day unless it is not safe to do so. Extra clothing or weather specific attire can be stored in your child’s backpack.

We ask that you be thoughtful about what items you send with your kids, such as toys- we can not be responsible for items that are broken or misplaced.

Food/Lunch

We will serve a morning snack and dietary restrictions will be accounted for. We ask that each child bring their lunch and water bottle. We ask that you do your best to pack a healthy lunch with whole foods, proteins, and foods that are low in sugar.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel at least 30 days before you will get a 100% refund. If you cancel between 15-29 days before, you will get a 50% refund. If you cancel less than 15 days before, no refund will be issued.

Camp Leader

Darci Peterson -Lead Educator at Rising Moon Meadows Learning Center

Darci is a mother of two kids and has worked in a variety of education positions making full use of her AA in Early Childhood Education and BA in Education from WWU. She is passionate about the endless learning opportunities that life provides as well as building connections with others and bringing the best out of the people she is around. She also loves exploring the Pacific Northwest as well as traveling the incredible world. She has a love for educating kids! She is friendly and warm, always checking in with people and working to create a safe and caring environment.
